Solidworks Essentials Workshop

Persatuan Pelajar Mekanikal (PPM) has organized the "Solidworks Essentials Workshop" program. This program was introduced to improve students' skills and knowledge in mastering Solidwork software. Solidworks is a 3D modelling programme that is used to build project models. Through this program, students are more confident to enter the field of employment because they have mastered career-related software.
🔅The program was held on 9 to 11 September 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Zoom meet was used as a medium of delivery in this program which was attended by 15 students consisting of students from the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
⚜️A special trainer from Six Sigma Synergy was invited namely Jitendra Kumar Nayak as the instructor to the participants who holds the position of senior CAD/CAM Trainer .
As the organizers, we would like to give a word of appreciation to the participants and also to the trainer of the program in making this program a success.
Hopefully this program can give an injection of spirit to the participants to continue learning with a strong spirit in order to achieve the ideals stored in the heart.💛

Virtual audit by EAC for BDD Programme

7 - 8 Sept 2021. Audit Akreditasi Program Mekanikal BDD oleh EAC.
Terima Kasih atas bantuan dan kerjasama ahli fakulti dlm membantu menjayakan nya dr mula pengumpulan bahan, laporan hingga ke perjalanan VAV pada hari tersebut.
Juga panel IAP, pelajar dan alumni khasnya yang sgt ceria dan supportive pada sesi interview tersebut.

NIOSH OIL AND GAS SAFETY PASSPORT (OGSP)

Persatuan Pelajar Mekanikal (PPM) had collaborate with NIOSH to organise a programme named NIOSH OIL AND GAS SAFETY PASSPORT (OGSP) program. This programme was held on 21st August 2021 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm via Zoom platform.
 
The intention of this programme was to help the participants acquire knowledge on safety and health aspects on the premises of oil and gas companies. Rationally, this NIOSH OIL AND GAS SAFETY PASSPORT OGSP program can provide exposure to students about NIOSH passport and the importance of owning them before working in the industry.
 
This program is specially intended for final year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing, UTHM. A total amount of 14 participants joined the program and it was conducted successfully. As the organiser, we would be glad to give a huge appreciation to all the participants. Hope the knowledge gained from this programme will give benefits for your future self✨

Majlis Lawatan Projek Public Private Research Network (PPRN) di Parit Sulong

Majlis Lawatan Projek Public Private Research Network (PPRN) di Parit Sulong, Batu Pahat, Johor. YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad, Menteri Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia telah hadir melawat projek PPRN melibatkan Syarikat Bio Star Resources dan T&M Mee Siput. YB Menteri turut menyampaikan mock cek geran PPRN berjumlah RM27,500 kepada pihak UTHM yang diwakili oleh Datuk Ts. Dr. Wahid bin Razzaly, Naib Canselor UTHM bersama penyelidik Prof. Madya Ts.Dr. Saifulnizan bin Jamian (FKMP) hasil kerjasama dengan Syarikat Bio Star Resources.

COHORT 2019/2020| ROUTE TO REEM VIA MDL PATH

29 August 2021| Briefing on registration of REEM via ECOS system, delivered by Dr Normayati Nordin (MDL Panel Head), was held to guide 10 MDL graduates who are in the REEM path.

Graduates shall provide transcript, certificate of specialisation and master project thesis on energy efficiency to complete the registration.

PROGRAMME REVIEW BY ADJUNCT PROFESSOR & EXTERNAL EXAMINER

9 February 2020| Adjunct Professor, Tuan Syed Jaffar Syed Ahmad (PETRONAS) has been invited to review the MDL programme as a whole. Appreciate valuable thoughts by practitioner in field to improve further the programme.

17 August 2020| Examination papers of MDL have been reen reviewed by the external examiner, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib (UPM) to ensure satisfactory quality. Appreciate the feedbacks given towards a better quality of papers in future.
