29 August 2021| Briefing on registration of REEM via ECOS system, delivered by Dr Normayati Nordin (MDL Panel Head), was held to guide 10 MDL graduates who are in the REEM path.

Graduates shall provide transcript, certificate of specialisation and master project thesis on energy efficiency to complete the registration.

28 March 2017| Prof. Dr. Ricardo Martinez-Botas from Imperial College was invited to inclusively review the MDL programme at the earlier stage of its development. He has emphasized the essential of MDL to have a unique selling point to be competitive and remained relevant.

3 April 2017| A meeting involving Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA), Energy Commission (ST) and Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) was held with the main aim to consult the policy maker views on the direction of MDL programme. The opportunity of MDL to offer a REEM certificate to its graduates has also been agreed upon. Datuk Badriyah Hj Abdul Malek (Deputy Secretary General of KeTSA) and Mr. Zulkiflee Umar (Head of Energy Conservation & Efficiency Department) have been appointed as Industrial Advisory Panels (IAP) to advice further the programme.

15-16 December 2019| Appreciate views given by the IAPs, Mr Abdul Razak Omar (Dyson) and Ir Zulkafli Mat Rani (AD Associates Sdn Bhd) towards the advancement of MDL.

9 February 2020| Adjunct Professor, Tuan Syed Jaffar Syed Ahmad (PETRONAS) has been invited to review the MDL programme as a whole. Appreciate valuable thoughts by practitioner in field to improve further the programme.

17 August 2020| Examination papers of MDL have been reen reviewed by the external examiner, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib (UPM) to ensure satisfactory quality. Appreciate the feedbacks given towards a better quality of papers in future.

Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (FKMP) has received a visit from Energy Commission (ST) to audit the implementation of a new postgraduate programme, Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Engineering (MDL) on 25th September 2019. This enforcement audit was conducted to ensure the implementation of the programme is in line with the ST requirements particularly in terms of syllabus, course delivery and expertise.

A great experential visit under Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Engineering programme, UTHM to a 5-star rated energy efficient building (BEI=57kWh/m^2 year), Diamond Building, Energy Commission HQ in Putrajaya.

9 February 2021| Webinar on REEM roles and Application Procedures via ECOS System was successfully held online today, to equip MDL students with understanding on Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM) roles and registration procedures through ECOS system.

Thanks for a fruitful sharing given by Energy Commission team led by Mr. Mohamad Faiz b. Mohd Yusoff (Assistant Director, Energy Efficient & Conservation Unit). More collaborative efforts will surely do for future betterment!
