Officially established under the Department of Engineering Material & Design, Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, in January 2012, the group has been working in the area of engineering design since 2008.  

Engineering Design Research Group (EDRG) is recognized as one of the research groups in the faculty with the vision to be prominent in design related activities. EDRG is established with the aim of promoting, conducting and supporting research and academic activities related to engineering design and sustainable technology.
