Automotive Research Group (ARG)

Background

Research Focus: Automotive Powertrain

ARG - Realization of Ideas

This pioneering research group was officially established under the Department of Energy & Thermofluids Engineering (previously known as Department of Plant and Automotive Engineering), Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in October 2008. Prior to its formation, the R&D team has been very active in the area of automotive since 2005, with the establishment of our Internal Combustion Engine Laboratory (Makmal Enjin Pembakaran Dalam).

ARG is working energetically towards its mission to be the leaders in automotive related technologies, with a clear identity of translating the ideation to prototype. Hence, our operating tagline: Realisation of Ideas. Our dynamic niches include small to medium duty powertrains, which encompasses actual experimental and simulation R&D works. These activities also form as the basis to our innovation works towards total commercialisation of our engineering solutions as well consulting the relevant industries.
