A postgraduate degree can help students to develop their career prospects and also can give the opportunity to specialise in specific areas of interest. The programmes are comprehensively designed with an emphasis on practical application that would enable students to apply new knowledge in the real-world and carry out extensive technology development and consultancy. Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering offers wide range of postgraduate qualifications opportunities including PhD in Mechanical Engineering. This courses can be studied on a part-time basis which is ideal for those who need to accommodate their studies around other commitments.
The programmes which combined with a large suite of continuing professional development courses are dedicated to carrying out focused research across a wide range of mechanical engineering subjects and applying it to meet the needs of society and industry.PhD in Mechanical Engineering is an extensive research programme conducted by postgraduate student under supervision of supervisor/s.
Students can choose from various focus areas for their PhD course such as in Mechanics, Materials, Manufacturing, Thermofluids or Aeronautics. Students may explore wide research areas guided by established experts through departments, research centers and groups.
