PEO/PLO BDC/BDM/BDF Programmes

The Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Air Trafic Control) (Honours) [BDF], Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Professional Piloting) (Honours) [BDC] and Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Aircraft Maintenance) (Honours) [BDM] have the same Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) and the same Programme Learning Objectives (PLO).

 

Programme Educational Objective (PEO)

The objectives of the Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Professional Piloting / Aircraft Maintenance / Air Traffic Control) with Honours programme is to produce aeronautical engineering technologists that:

1. Able to comprehend the required technical knowledge and skills in the field of aeronautics and professional piloting/aircraft maintenance/air traffic control for the success in the current global market competition.

2. Acquire critical thinking, communication skill and ethics required in the field of professional piloting/aircraft maintenance/air traffic control.

3. Able to work individually or in a team and capable of becoming the leader in any engineering technology organisation.

4. Possess strong interest in lifelong learning and having the knowledge in entrepreneurship.

 

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

 

Upon graduation, graduates from the Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Professional Piloting / Aircraft Maintenance / Air Traffic Control) with Honours programme will be able to:

Knowledge - Comprehend and apply knowledge of science, mathematics, engineering and aeronautical technology in the field of professional piloting/aircraft maintenance/air traffic control.

Technical Skill - Possess sound technical skill in the field of professional piloting/aircraft maintenance/air traffic control and design, performing experiments, data analysis and interpretation and also capable in applying the techniques, skills and using engineering equipment as an aeronautical engineering technologist.

Communication Skill - Communicate effectively with professionals and non- professionals.

Problems Solving - Identify, formulate and solve problems in designing or assessing flight operation performance/aircraft maintenance performance/air traffic control operation using systematic approach.

Team Working - Act effectively as individual and in a team.

Life-Long Learning - Possess awareness and commitment for Life-long learning.

Entrepreneurship - Aware of contemporary issues and acquire basic knowledge in entrepreneurship in the related fields.

Ethics - Understand the responsibility and ethics of being an engineering technologist and a professional pilot/aircraft maintenance engineer/air traffic controller in the aspects of social, culture and global and the necessity for sustainable development.

Leadership - Perform as an effective leader or manager.
