Improving university performance has become an indisputable issue in the increasingly competitive environment. The Faculty is always trying to improve the quality of programme through benchmarking exercises, in which the comparative strengths and opportunities for improvement can be identified, and best practices can be adopted. Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering has organized a benchmarking visit to Department of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) on 27^th March 2019.

Dato' Kamel bin Mohamad, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia. Objektif utama lawatan kerja tersebut adalah untuk melihat pembangunan Kampus Induk UTHM, Pusat Latihan Minda Emas dan Landasan Terbang Tanjung Labuh. Delegasi YBhg. Dato’ Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha juga melawat ke Makmal Inovasi UTHM-Fraunhofer IEM.

Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (FKMP) has received a visit from Energy Commission (ST) to audit the implementation of a new postgraduate programme, Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Engineering (MDL) on 25th September 2019. This enforcement audit was conducted to ensure the implementation of the programme is in line with the ST requirements particularly in terms of syllabus, course delivery and expertise.
